MINNEAPOLIS (March 14, 2016) – Pro snowmobile racing’s premier competition racing series, AMSOIL Championship Snocross, powered by Ram, is pleased to announce three thrilling days of racing action in Lake Geneva, Wis., March 18-20, at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, owned and managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts, for the Friday & Saturday Nielsen Enterprises Grand Finale, presented by Dayco.
The AAA Four Diamond resort is southeastern Wisconsin’s premier family ski destination and home to the Mountain Top at Grand Geneva, which transforms into this championship racetrack. This is the marquee snocross event of the year, where 150 of the world’s top snowmobile racers compete to be crowned champion. Three rounds of thrilling racing action feature big jumps, fast-cornering berms and tricky rhythm sections – otherwise ridiculous obstacles that keep racers on their toes and test man and snowmobile like you’ve never seen before!
“AMSOIL Championship Snocross series’ grand finale at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is without a doubt one of snowmobiling’s marquee global events of the year,” said Carl Schubitzke, ISOC President/Race Director. “Lake Geneva is where we crown our champions. It doesn’t get any bigger than AMSOIL Championship Snocross at Lake Geneva.”
“Every year our guests and staff look forward to the high-energy and action-packed AMSOIL Championship Snocross,” said Steve Magnuson, managing director of Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. “Snocross is one of The Mountain Top’s premier events each season and we’re honored to continue to host this incredible racing series finale.”
Locally, Wisconsin pro snowmobile racers Ross Martin (Burlington) and Mike Bauer (Owen) will be in the hunt for the premier Pro Open class podium real estate at the Lake Geneva Grand Finale.
New this year, Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is offering a two-night package that includes a weekend pass just for spectators of Snocross. Accommodations include a king guest room or suite with two weekend tickets. There’s a limited number of rooms available and reservations can be made online or by calling (800) 558-3417.
