LAKE GENEVA, WI (October 5, 2012) — The AAA Four-Diamond Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, is proud to be participating in the Party in Pink™ Zumbathon®, held at the resort’s WELL Spa + Salon on Friday, October 19. From 6 to 8 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to learn Zumba, a Latin-inspired dance-fitness program, and raise money to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity. No matter what your skill level, attendees are invited to get up and salsa for this worthy cause.
Now in its third year, Party in Pink™ encourages Zumba instructors and enthusiasts to host and attend Zumbathon® charity events benefiting breast cancer research and education. Last year’s campaign took the effort worldwide, raising over 1.2 million dollars for charity. This year, Zumabathons® will be held in over 150 countries, with a campaign goal of 1,800 events held through the end of October. Grand Geneva’s event will be hosted by the resort’s six certified Zumba instructors, who will lead guests in choreography on two stages, with their moves projected on a screen between the stages so participants never miss a step.
Guests wanting to take a break from the action can also participate in a number of Party in Pink™-themed activities at the WELL Spa + Salon’s indoor tennis courts. Options will include sipping on pink cocktails while enjoying nail treatments at mini manicure stations or taking part in fun games like blackjack, ring toss, and golf putting. A raffle and silent auction with a portion of proceeds going to benefit Party in Pink™ will also be featured. Tickets to Zumbathon® are $20 per person, with commemorative tank top also available for $20.
