INTERCONTINENTAL® MILWAUKEE TO HOST FIRST EVER FIT WEEKEND
Weekend package includes overnight accommodations, meals and fitness classes
Milwaukee, Wis., April 17, 2013 – InterContinental® Milwaukee, which is owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, has announced the schedule for its first ever Fit Weekend, April 26-28, 2013.
InterContinental Milwaukee’s Fit Weekend package includes a two-night stay Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, breakfast and lunch on both Saturday and Sunday and the guest’s choice of three fitness classes on Saturday and Sunday. Guests can also choose to stay one night and participate in the following day’s activities. The hotel’s talented chefs will prepare healthy, great-tasting meals for the program’s guests, while professional trainers will lead a variety of fitness classes each morning. Classes include Qigong/Tai Chi, Concrete Jungle Run, Yoga, Meditation and Muscle Conditioning.
“Health and wellness is important to many of our guests and we wanted to provide an opportunity for them to take the time to get away and really focus on themselves,” said Tim Smith, general manager of InterContinental Milwaukee. “This weekend was designed for people of all activity levels and offers a little bit of something for everyone.”
Fitness sessions will be led by Stan Kononov, owner of The Health and Power Yoga Studio in Milwaukee, and Matty Michaels from Matty Micheals Personal Training in Milwaukee. Afternoon personal training and massage appointments with Kononov and Michaels are available for an additional fee. After checking in on Friday evening, guests are invited to CLEAR for complimentary appetizers and to meet the trainers. Lunch breaks will include roundtable discussions about health and wellness.
