MILWAUKEE – June 20, 2012 – Accomplished executive chef Bill Doyle has been named the new executive chef at InterContinental Milwaukee, a downtown hotel owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts. In his role, he will oversee all culinary operations at the hotel, including banquets and special events, Kil@wat restaurant, and CLEAR Bar & Lounge.
“Chef Bill’s innovative ideas and extensive culinary experience will bring a fresh perspective on dining to our guests,” said Tim Smith, general manager of InterContinental Milwaukee. “We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to continuing the hotel’s reputation for inventive cuisine.”
With nearly 25 years of culinary experience, Doyle has worked 17 of those years as an executive chef. First as an executive chef for Doubletree Hotels at the age of 25 and most recently for eight years as executive chef at Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center in Tulsa, Okla., where he was responsible for managing all culinary operations, from banquets to restaurants.
“I look forward to preparing creative, bold dishes using the freshest ingredients, and presenting them with an artistic flair,” said Doyle. “I’m eager to work with a great team and to provide our guests with unforgettable dining experiences.”
From leading culinary teams in multiple hotels, to operating his own catering company and coordinating catering for motion pictures on location, Doyle possesses the broad culinary experience necessary to excel at managing high-volume operations. Originally from Albany, New York, Doyle received his associate’s degree in Occupational Studies from The Culinary Institute of America. He is an American Culinary Federation Certified Executive Chef and Approved Certification Evaluator.
