Miller Time Pub & Grill in Lincoln, Neb. to Host “Free Burger Day” Monday, August 12 in Preparation for Opening
Restaurant to give Lincoln community first taste of specially crafted burgers by giving away 500 free burgers over lunch
Lincoln, Neb., August 8, 2013. . . . .Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS), today announced it will give away 500 free burgers over lunch on August 12, 2013 as a preview to its Miller Time Pub & Grill restaurant opening in Lincoln, Neb. The new restaurant is scheduled to open later this month.
The free burger giveaway will start at 11:30 a.m. at the Miller Time Pub & Grill’s location at 333 S. 13th street, adjacent to The Cornhusker, A Marriott Hotel, and will conclude at 1:30 p.m. or until all burgers are gone. Guests who are waiting for their first taste of the restaurant’s famous burgers can enjoy the opportunity to spin the big wheel to win prizes from Miller Time Pub & Grill. In addition, the restaurant’s cicerone certified beer servers (beer experts) will be on hand to share their beer knowledge and quiz guests as another way to win a variety of prizes.
Those who attend the free burger giveaway event can also enter the Miller Time Pub & Grill Facebook Sweepstakes running Thursday, August 8 – Friday, September 20. Participants have the chance to win a variety of prizes including:
- Grand Prize – Yum! – Free burgers for one year (one burger per week), one Miller High Life Delivery Tee-Shirt, a koozie and keychain.
- Runner Up – Tailgate Prize – A tailgate party including 20 free burgers and a $100 gift card for beverages outside on the restaurant’s patio.
- Ten additional prize winners will also receive a Miller High Life Delivery Tee-Shirt.

The new Miller Time Pub & Grill restaurant, in partnership with world-class brewer MillerCoors, will offer patrons more than 20 draft options and over 50 brands of beers in a variety of growlers, boots or flights. Keeping the storied history of MillerCoors in mind, the concept will feature MillerCoors décor, including a collection of iconic memorabilia and artifacts, photos and vintage ads, as well as a retail area where guests can purchase MillerCoors and Miller Time Pub & Grill merchandise.
All staff will be cicerone certified beer servers, trained and tested on their beer knowledge, and will be available to assist guests in finding the perfect beer pairings for their menu selection. The menu will feature specially crafted burgers, in addition to healthy and pub-inspired entrees including grilled grouper, pork chop, steak, chicken and ribs. “The menu will offer Hoppatizers such as our already famous Wisconsin cheese curds, chicken wings, loaded tater tots and homemade BBQ chips, in addition to fresh salads and tasty desserts. A children’s menu will also be available for children 12 and under, featuring “The Root Beer Club” with games and root beer tokens and a mini take-home root beer mug,” added Rost.
The new Miller Time Pub & Grill is scheduled to open to the public August 31, just in time for the first Cornhusker home game. 10% of all proceeds from the first days’ revenue will be donated to the Team Jack Foundation, in support of pediatric brain cancer research.
