Houston, Texas, February 23, 2012. . . . .Marcus® Hotels & Resorts today announced that Allan Hant has been appointed general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn-Houston Northwest in Houston, Texas. Hant previously served as director of operations at the company’s Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, Mo. The Hilton Garden Inn-Houston Northwest at the Willowbrook Mall is owned by Hilcom Partners, LLC and managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts.
Hant brings over 18 years of hospitality management experience to his new position and has been with Marcus Hotels & Resorts since 2008. As director of operations at the Hotel Phillips, Hant oversaw a recently completed multi-million dollar renovation and was responsible for all of the hotel’s broad range of operating functions.

Through his experience, he has demonstrated a unique ability to bring out the best in each property he works with,” said Gary Gentile, senior vice president of operations of Marcus Hotels & Resorts. “His industry knowledge makes him the ideal choice for the general manager position. Prior to joining Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Hant served as a consultant for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide for the AAA Five-Diamond Phoenician Resort and Westin Peachtree. In this role, he analyzed food and beverage operations, provided leadership training guidelines and met with division heads regarding new programming. His experience also includes food and beverage roles at The Atlantic Hotel and Spa and Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort. During this time, Hant was featured in bothLifestyles Magazine andHotel F&B Magazine, earning praise for his passionate management style.
Hant graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in marketing.
